LYNDI ANGERMEIER began her career as a plein-air painter after attending the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. She later studied graphic design while living in Silicon Valley. JULY
THE 59th Annual Bath County Art Show runs July 13 thru July 21. Lyndi is exhibiting 4 paintings: They are Autumn River, 36x36, Blue Ridge Sunrise, 18x24, Harbor Island Sunrise, 12x24 and Pansy Flowerbed, 11x14. Three of the four paintings have sold. The seascape is still available.
JUNE
A couple who live in Staunton commissioned her to do a small oil painting of their home. Pencil and watercolor studies were done to plan for the composition and color palette. The final painting features dappled light on the brick facade and a crepe myrtle in the side yard. The results were described as "dreamy" by the homeowners.
A trip to Montreal this month allowed her to do some sketches and take photos of gardens and building facades to practice her newly acquired watercolor skills.
MAY
She is part of a group exhibition this month in the atrium of The Church of the Incarnation in Harrisonburg. See exhibitions.
A local couple who has admired her work for years, purchased 2 abstracts and 3 landscapes for their home. They worked together with the artist to find the perfect spot in their living room, dining room, kitchen and stairwell for each piece. A new art buyer from Raleigh, NC purchased 2 landscapes this month after finding his way to her website.
Hospice of the Piedmont has purchased a framed floral to hang over their dining room fireplace mantel. White Peonies will be a perfect addition to the other 12 landscape paintings that were installed in the Hospice House in 2016. See AUG 2016 below. Visit my facebook page for photos of install.

Four of Lyndi's paintings were purchased to go into a retirement community home as part of their permanent collection.
She donated an abstract painting to The Women's Initiative in Charlottesville for their annual fundraiser/art auction. It was purchased during their art preview gathering. It was the first piece of work that sold that night at 150% of value! There were a limited number of artist's work that was juried in for this, as it had to relate to their mission.

Lyndi sold two of her marsh paintings at the Bath County show in Hot Springs this month. She's been enjoying going with artist friends this summer to do some small sketches of local farms and exploring the coastal areas of Virginia near Chesapeake Bay.

VMRC had their annual juried show this month. Her seascape, Beach Sunrise, 40x30 was selected for this exhibit. There were 92 works of art in this exhibit, created by 83 artists who were juried in.
MAY
Lyndi donated Island, 18x36 to The Women's Initiative in Charlottesville for their annual fundraiser/art auction held at The Clifton this year. Thirty artists were invited to participate. Funds raised will help bring vital, life-saving mental health services to women in need. They raised over $165,000 at this event. Two new buyers purchased large waterlily paintings this month and her small waterfall painting sold at Bath County.

The Joshua Wilton House in Harrisonburg had a 5-month exhibit of over 2 dozen of her paintings and held a reception in June, during which time more purchases were made.

Evening's Serenity (40x60), sold this month out of Zynodoa Restaurant. It'll hang in a restored Victorian home in North Carolina.

A new buyer visited from NYC and purchased three paintings for her home. Another former buyer from Maryland commissioned Lyndi to do a large 30x48 garden scene with Casablanca Lilies to add to the landscape she purchased from her last year.

The artist offered two in-home presentations and Charlottesville buyers, referred by their interior designer, were able to find six landscape paintings and an abstract, which complemented their grand homes.

Lyndi was contacted by a Charlottesville interior designer who is working on the Main Street United Methodist Church in Suffolk, VA design project. They have purchased Beacon of Light, one of her tonalist 40x60 landscapes, as well as Autumn Farmland 40x30 for their historic chapel.

A buyer came from Pennsylvania this month to collect a painting, a birthday gift to her husband who grew up in Harrisonburg. Coincidentally, the small church along the horizon line reminded him of the view from his grandparent's home.

Blu Point seafood restaurant opened this month. Check out the mural. It's an impressionistic seascape that runs the length of the restaurant. It was done in collaboration with a JMU art student. Also look for 3 of her large seascapes throughout.

This month the artist placed second in the oils/acrylics category at the Bath County Art Show and one of her large landscapes, Sinking Sun, sold during this one-week show in Hot Springs, Virginia. This past month the artist has spent working on commissioned pieces and a 35-foot long mural for the new local seafood restaurant, BLU Point Seafood Co.

The artist was approached by three different organizations and has donated paintings for art auctions to the Staunton Augusta Art Center, The Women's Initiative in Charlottesville and The READ Art Show at The New Community School in Richmond. Large farmland paintings have been the biggest sellers at the beginning of this year.

JAN - APRIL
These past four months the artist has spent working on commissioned pieces. Take a look at Down in the Valley (30x40), which sold to a couple in Harrisonburg. Another couple now owns 4 of her landscapes, which grace their beautiful home in Charlottesville. The color palette in her paintings ties in perfectly with the color of their walls, carpet, furniture and upholstered chairs. Her art creates a nice flow throughout their home and the subject matter of her oils is perfect for their equestrian, countryside surroundings.

The artist was part of the South-Atlantic juried show in Montpelier, VA.

Interior designer, Michelle Willis Adams, contacted the artist this month in search of a painting for the interior of the new Cochran House at UVA. McFadden Marsh was purchased by the Jefferson Scholars Foundation. It now hangs over a large mantel in this well-appointed retreat and place to stay for distinguished guests of the University. What an honor to have one of her paintings grace these walls!

Pond Reflections was selected at the current VMRC exhibition by the recipients of the 2017 Philanthropist of the Year Award as their Purchase Award. The painting will be shown at the VMRC Art Exhibition through June 30, 2017. See Exhibitions for further details.
JULY
Otselic River, a large landscape she finished last month, sold at the Bath County Art Show. This painting was inspired by a lovely scene she came upon this past Spring while taking the backroads near Georgetown, New York.
AUGUST
Many sales happened over the summer; including commissions and private purchases through her studio.
OCTOBER
She presented a private Powerpoint talk titled: Flowers & Art, the Joys of Creative Expression to the Staunton Augusta Garden Club this month. There were around 50 members in attendance.

A local Staunton business owner now has a beautiful sunrise mountain scene above the fireplace mantel in her new downtown office space. It reminds her of her childhood spent in North Carolina. Her solo exhibition in Richmond exhibition ran from October thru December 2017. A reception was held on Nov 27 along with an interview/slideshow by the gallery curator, Allyson Catoe. See H. Angermeier's largest landscape to-date just sold this month at the Artful Lodger. It is 40x60 inches and is titled Spring Meadow. It's going into a newly renovated vacation home in Wintergreen, VA.

Two independent interior designers selected her oils to be exhibited in the 2016 Charlottesville Design House at Keswick Estates. She created several commissioned pieces for the dining room salon wall. Interior designers, home buyers and others that toured the home purchased her work during this event. A percentage of the sales went to the Shelter for Help in Emergency. See photos on Exhibitions page.

A dozen of Angermeier's oils were loaned for a two-month period to stage a Victorian home in Staunton. Inquire with the artist regarding home staging fees.

Bath County Show: Her large farmland scene, titled: Cow Goes Wandering (40x30), was purchased by someone prominent in the Richmond art community and also received an Honorable Mention. Also in July, her landscape, The Long Way Home (36x48), was acquired as part of the permanent collection at the Augusta Health hospital in Fishersville, VA. The painting hangs in a beautiful frame on a prominent wall leading toward the cancer center, which is on the ground floor of the main Medical Office Building.

Eleven of her landscapes were purchased by the Stedman House interior design firm for the Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, VA. Her oils were installed as a part of their design project for this renovated Victorian. Cows in the Meadow was donated by the artist and is now one of the twelve paintings in the resident's bedrooms and shared common spaces.
